What are you Thankful for?

What are you thankful for?

This is a question we often hear on the days leading up to thanksgiving.

It’s a good question and identifying what we are grateful or thankful for can be good for our mental health. This is helpful as we approach the holidays, but also throughout the year.

So often, especially during this pandemic, it’s easy to find ourselves focusing on the things we can’t do or don’t have. When we spend most of our time thinking about the “have nots” it can negatively impact our mood and how we interact with others. Even on our worst days, there are small positives. We just need to look harder for them.

SO I encourage you to really think about the question, “What are you thankful for?” Ask yourself this not only on Thanksgiving, but daily or weekly. Help your brain to acknowledge the good and you will see a positive shift in your mood.

Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
